Espoo office project: two sliding wall installations

Another flexible office project has been completed in Espoo. Thanks to the OPTIMAL 110 sliding wall system, we have created a transformable meeting room that easily adapts to various work scenarios. The space can be fully enclosed for private negotiations and meetings, or completely opened up to merge with the main office area, creating a spacious zone for collaborative work. Each of the two sliding walls measures approximately 4 meters in length and about 2.5 meters in height, allowing for efficient zoning without compromising functionality.

The panels of the sliding system move smoothly and quietly along the ceiling track. When the walls are not in use, they are neatly tucked away into a dedicated parking area at the side, completely freeing up the space. The panels are finished in white laminated chipboard, which blends perfectly with the bright interior palette and visually expands the room. The clean, modern design allows the walls to harmonize seamlessly with other office elements without overwhelming the space.

Special attention deserves the acoustic comfort. With sound insulation rated at 45 dB, the new sliding walls ensure a high level of privacy during negotiations and meetings, effectively blocking external noise and preventing sound from escaping the meeting room. This is particularly important for sessions that require full concentration and confidentiality.

The project had a unique challenge: the sliding walls adjoin fixed glass partitions, which required meticulous engineering of the connection points. Thanks to the expert recommendations of our engineers, we achieved an aesthetically pleasing and reliable junction between the materials while preserving all the functional advantages of the system. As a result, the client has received a beautiful, convenient, and practical transformable space that is already being actively used by the company’s employees.
