The University of Turku is one of Finland’s largest and most international research universities. It has over 23,000 students, as well as more than 4,000 researchers, teachers, and other staff. The university comprises eight faculties and offers interdisciplinary education in more than 130 subjects. Its campus is located in the city of Turku, and its students and staff come from over 100 countries around the world.

Such a large number of students places constant demands on the university’s organization of space. The institution must simultaneously provide both quiet zones for independent study and convenient spaces for group work, so that every student can study as efficiently and comfortably as possible. This requires careful planning and flexible solutions that allow the space to be adapted to different educational needs.

We manufactured and installed 10 stationary glass partitions at the University of Turku, equipped with swing doors and retractable thresholds. Additionally, a wall with a folding door fitted with double-acting door closers was mounted. All materials used fully comply with safety requirements for installation in educational institutions, and these solutions help the university create functional and modern learning environments.
